Timelapse Video of Duke Energy Sutton Plant Smokestack Demolition
From August 2015 to March 2016, crews demolished the Sutton Steam Plant’s iconic candy cane-striped smokestacks using a ring-like structure that removed the stacks from the top down. The stacks had to be removed prior to the implosion of the plant’s remaining structures.
