Cenospheres observed in low lying area
The site team observed an additional area of material, that appears to be largely cenospheres.
Cenospheres are tiny hollow beads that are a by-product of coal burning power plants. Cenospheres are the lighter particles made largely of alumina and silica. When describing cenospheres, experts compare them to very small, hollow pieces of sand.
The state was notified and inspected the area on Monday.
