Duke Energy completes final implosion of Sutton Steam Plant – Nov 9, 2016
An early-morning implosion on Nov. 9, 2016, brought down the last of three boilers at the Sutton Steam Plant, another significant milestone in Duke Energy’s campaign to replace older, less-efficient plants with cleaner energy for its customers. The implosion removes the last Duke Energy coal plant in Eastern N.C.
