Duke Energy dedicates new operations offices in Trenton, Fla.

ST. PETERSBURG, FLA. - Duke Energy, along with the Gilchrist County Chamber and representatives from the city of Trenton and Gilchrist County, Tuesday officially dedicated the company’'s new operations office in Trenton, Fla.

As part of the ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony, Duke Energy presented a $1,000 check to the Food Pantry of Gilchrist County. Approximately 70 people attended the event.“

"Our new operations office in Trenton reinforces our commitment to the community,"” said Bobby Pickels, Duke Energy district manager. “"We used a number of local and regional firms on the construction, and we are proud of what they built. We are here for the long term."

”The new, 5,000 square-foot operations office, located at 1532 E. Wade St., provides 13 engineering, administrative and operations employees a secure, technologically advanced workplace. “

"We have a strong partnership with Duke Energy,"” said Pat Watson, executive director, Gilchrist County Chamber of Commerce. “"This new facility and the fact that it was built with the help of several local subcontractors, is just one example of their commitment to this area.”"
