Duke Energy, alongside GIC, today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement for an acquisition of a 19.9 percent interest in Duke Energy Indiana, a subsidiary of Duke Energy, by an affiliate of GIC Private Limited, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund and an experienced investor in U.S. infrastructure.

In a milestone settlement that resolves the last remaining major issues on coal ash management in North Carolina, the North Carolina Attorney General, North Carolina Public Staff, Sierra Club and Duke Energy have reached an agreement on costs related to coal ash management and safe basin closure.
